A motorcyclist has been killed in a serious crash in Melksham.
Yesterday afternoon, at around 2.45pm, a blue Suzuki GSF 600 motorbike and a blue BMW 325 car collided with each other on the B3107 Bradford Road.
The 20-year-old local man, who was riding the motorbike, sadly died at the scene.
The local male who was driving the car was uninjured.
The road was closed for approximately six hours whilst specialist officers from the Tri-Force Collision Investigation Team conducted an examination of the scene.
The motorcyclist’s next of kin have been informed.
Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses: “Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, especially the drivers of a white, new model, Ford Fiesta and a silver/grey Skoda Octavia taxi who drove past the incident but didn’t stop.”
