A young man has been seriously hurt in a crash following a police chase near Calne.
A pursuit was authorised after a vehicle failed to stop for officers this morning (Tuesday).
At around 10.25am, in Chapel Street, Derry Hill, the vehicle was involved in a road traffic collision.
The young man, who is said to be in his late teens, was arrested for failing to stop, dangerous driving, driving without a licence or insurance and taking without consent.
He has been taken to hospital after suffering a suspected leg injury as a result of the collision, not suspected to be life changing or life threatening.
Wiltshire Police are investigating the circumstances around the collision and have made a referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), as is mandatory following serious injury involving police involvement.
