Parents are being urged to check the fridge as variety packs of the popular children’s yoghurt Frubes have been recalled over fears they may contain small pieces of metal.

Yoplait UK has been forced to issue a recall notice on one of their variety packs because metal pieces have been found in the peach flavour Frube within the multipack.

The Food Standards Agency says that this product is unsafe to eat.

Consumers should be on the lookout for the nine-pack strawberry, red berry and peach variety pack with batch code 9218195. The use by date is listed as 9 February 2022.

No other Yoplait or Frubes products are affected by this recall.

“Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product”, a spokesperson said.

Adding: “If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

“For more information contact Yoplait on (UK) 0800 358 0401.”
