Woman’s horror as she discovers razor blades inside box of children’s toy

A Swindon woman has been left horrified after discovering razor blazes inside the box of a counterfeit children’s toy which she ordered from eBay.

Not initially knowing that Fingerlings product was a fake, Leanne Anger decided to open it, rather than let her six-year-old daughter Lila enjoy opening it herself.

On opening the packaging, she was shocked to discover that two razor blazes were taped to the top corner of the box – along with a small amount of blood splatter.

The company that makes authentic Fingerlings, WowWee, sued 165 counterfeiters last month.

A spokesperson for eBay said: “We take customers’ safety very seriously and have several ways in which our members can raise any concerns about listings. We will always investigate matters of this nature and ensured that Ms Anger received a full refund.”

Wiltshire Police say the information has been passed to another force to investigate.
