A woman was struck by a car while ‘checking on the welfare of a dog’ in Swindon.
The victim, aged in her 50s, was concerned about a dog locked in a silver car parked on Birch Street on the morning of Thursday 25 July.
She tried the vehicle’s door handles before a man appeared and started shouting at her.
He proceeded to get into the car, reversing into the woman – who was using a walking frame. She was knocked to the ground, and suffered head and leg injuries.
The man then drove away from the scene.
