A woman has been seriously injured in a dog attack in a Wiltshire village.
Emergency services were called to the incident in Ramsbury, situated about seven miles east of Marlborough, last Thursday (1 May).
The incident happened between Whitehill Close and Atherton Close at around 5.55pm.
A woman, aged in her 70s, was taken to the Great Western Hospital for treatment.
Wiltshire 999s understands the victim sustained a serious leg wound which required surgery.
Police seized the dog and have launched an investigation into the attack. The breed has not been confirmed at this stage.
