A family of a 87-year-old woman missing on Christmas Day have shared a new photo.
Glenice Wallace was last seen at her home in Royal Wootton Bassett at around 2pm on Christmas Eve – and is thought to have travelled to Swindon on a bus.
Wiltshire Police is carrying out urgent searches following her disappearance, and officers say they are “very concerned for her welfare”.
Glenice’s family believe she took the 55 service to the town, and may have travelled onwards to the Paignton and Torquay area, in south Devon.
In a new update, her granddaughter Kat Jones shared a new photo of her nan with her grandad.
She wrote: “My Nan left her home in RWB yesterday (Xmas eve) and is still missing. We believe she has left the area and travelled by public transport.
“She is very fond of Paignton and Torquay area but have no confirmation of where she has gone. We are very concerned and want to know she is safe.”
Speaking about her links with the area, she added: “She has no friends or family [in Devon]. But she has travelled for breaks there for her whole life and loves to be by the sea.
“Sadly though, we don’t know if that is where she has gone. But have info that supports that theory.”
Police initially believed Glenice had travelled towards Devizes.
She is described as around 5ft 4ins tall, thin build with short white hair. She is thought to be wearing the red glasses in the photo, a brown woolly hat, black coat, navy trousers and black shoes.
Anyone who sees her or known of her whereabouts is asked to contact police on 999 – quoting log 187 of 24 December.
