Woman rushed to hospital after two-vehicle crash closes road in Highworth

A woman has been rushed to hospital following a crash in Highworth.

Emergency crews were called to St Michael’s Avenue, at the junction with Pound Lane, shortly before 8am this morning (Monday, 26 September).

Police officers, ambulances and a fire engine were in attendance.

The route was closed in both directions while first responders dealt with the incident, but it reopened at around 9am.

Wiltshire Police confirmed one woman was taken to Great Western Hospital.

No one’s believed to have sustained any serious injuries in the smash.
