A woman is accused of making and distributing incident images of children.
51-year-old Alona Wickham appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court this morning where she offered no plea to seven allegations put to her.
The defendant, of Neeld Close, Yatton Keynell, faces the following charges which date back to February and March last year:
• Making an indecent image of a child in category A (involving penetrative sexual activity)
• Making an indecent image of a child in category B (non-penetrative sexual activity)
• Making an indecent image of a child in category C (images not falling within categories A or B)
• Distributing an indecent image of a child in category A
• Distributing four indecent images of a child in category B
• Distributing 13 indecent images of a child in category C
• Possessing an extreme pornographic image portraying an act of intercourse or oral sex with a dead or alive animal – namely snails and worms
Magistrates declined jurisdiction on the case due to the severity of the allegations. The case will next be heard at Swindon Crown Court in May.
Clare Gooding, defending, said her client offers no indication of plea.
Mrs Wickham was released on conditional bail – with the condition not to have any unsupervised contact with children.
