A woman has reportedly died after falling off her horse in a Wiltshire village.

Emergency services were called to the incident in the Easterton area, near Market Lavington, at around 2pm last Thursday (21 March).

Alongside local ambulance crews, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance (DSAA) attended in a helicopter and Wiltshire Air Ambulance attended in rapid response vehicle.

A woman, whose age has not been confirmed, was airlifted to the Major Trauma Centre at Southmead Hospital in Bristol for urgent care.

It’s understood she suffered a medical episode and fell from her horse – and later died as a result.
