A woman cut free from a car following a road traffic collision near Chippenham.
Emergency services were called to the crash on A4 Derry Hill at around 3pm this afternoon (20 April).
The road was blocked in both directions whilst 999 responders worked at the scene.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said it sent crews from Calne and Chippenham to the incident, with firefighters extricating an injured woman from one of the vehicles.
The crash was described as “awful” by a witness who passed the scene.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson confirmed officers are attending a “three-vehicle collision on the A4 at Derry Hill”.
The force said South Western Ambulance Service is also on scene.
