A woman was walking home from a club when she was ‘mugged by a balaclava-clad gang’.
Detectives have launched an investigation following a robbery in an alleyway off Ferndale Road, Swindon, in the early hours of this morning (Saturday).
Wiltshire Police have released very little information about the incident, but Wiltshire 999s understands a 20-year-old woman was attacked at around 5.15am.
The victim was reportedly walking home alone from a club in Swindon town centre when three people wearing balaclavas grabbed hold of her.
It’s said that she managed to kick out and fight the suspects off – but not before they took her bag, which contained her phone, keys, ID, bank cards and perfume.
Forensic work has been ongoing at the scene – which was cordoned off and guarded by police.
