A woman was bitten after her dog was attacked by three ‘pit bulls’ in Swindon.

Police are investigating the incident, which happened at Seven Fields, in Penhill, on Wednesday 5 July.

The attack, at around 12.30pm, left a woman injured; she had intervened as the three animals attempted to savage her own pet.

The ‘dangerous’ dogs were described as pit bulls or Staffordshire bull terriers – one was black and white, the other two were tan and black.

According to Wiltshire Police, the owners, who did not help or leave their details, are described as two men and a woman believed to be aged in her 20s.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the force on 101 quoting log 54230070330.
