A woman has been attacked by a dog in Swindon – sparking a police investigation.
The 60-year-old victim was walking with two young children when an out-of-control dog ran towards her in Baydon Close, Moredon.
During the incident at around 7.45pm on Monday (17 June), she was bitten twice on her legs.
The woman sustained puncture wounds which needed treatment in hospital.
She described the dog as a “medium white dog with grey patches” – but its breed is unknown.
She said: “I am black through bruising and have four nasty puncture wounds.
“It needs to be dealt with; it could have easily been my grandsons or an elderly person”.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that an investigation into the dog attack is ongoing.
