A woman has been arrested after flipping a car onto its roof in Calne overnight.
Emergency services were called to the dramatic road traffic collision in Lickhill Road at around 8pm last night (Tuesday 4 October).
The female driver managed to overturn a white Peugeot 208 after smashing into a parked van.
Firefighters from Calne and Chippenham attended the scene to free the casualty from the vehicle – after she became trapped inside by her seatbelt.
She was taken to hospital for assessment and later arrested by officers on suspicion of drink driving.
The road was closed between North Way and North Cote for more than two hours.
