A Wiltshire man who is fighting for Russia has burned this passport – before shouting “f*** you Great Britain” and shooting a gun into the air.
Former drug addict Aiden Minnis left Chippenham to join Putin’s Kremlin forces after their invasion of Ukraine, and has bragged about ‘killing khokhols’.
The 38-year-old claims he was awarded the Suvorov medal, a state decoration handed out by the Russian Federation to troops who show courage in combat.
Minnis told the Mirror that he got the honour for “wiping out numerous khokhols”. The term khokhols is a derogatory word for Ukrainians.
He added: “I hope I get many more for killing the fascists and eliminating the Nazi scourge.
“I work as a stormtrooper, basically infantry and assault, trench clearing and eliminating enemy positions. Although it’s very hard fighting, it must be done.”
Minnis, who previously described Putin as “the greatest politician on earth”, has now destroyed his British passport – claiming new anti-terror laws will prevent him returning.
But under the British Nationality Act, the UK Government has had the power to deprive somebody of citizenship for over a century.
In a video Minnis shared with Wiltshire 999s directly, he’s seen setting fire to the official document after stating: “Consider my passport revoked, consider it rescinded, and consider it I do not want it anymore… you can kiss my ass.”
As the passport burns at this feet, he says “f*** you Great Britain” and shoots an assault rifle – thought to be an AK-74M – into the air.
Minnis, who has a long history of violent offending, was jailed for four years and three months for a racial assault on an man in Chippenham back in 2007.
He fled the country to Russia in 2023, abandoning his two children. His family have disowned Minnis, who was previously part of the fascist political party National Front.
