Wiltshire Police dog unit makes use of closed golf centre for training session

Wiltshire Police are taking advantage of a closed golf centre to train dogs today.

Specialist search dogs Ted, Bracken and Gunner will carry out training at the Chippenham Golf Centre, a COVID-secure premises.

The Tiddleywink-based establishment is closed due to the second coronavirus lockdown.

A spokesperson for the dog unit said: “A big thanks to [Chippenham Golf Centre] for allowing our Specialist Search Dogs Ted, Bracken and Gunner to carry out training today.

“The venue remains closed to the public at this time. It’s so important that we have COVID secure training venues at this difficult time.”
