A Wiltshire man has been jailed after police found a stash of child abuse images.
Christopher Ritchie pleaded guilty to possessing seven indecent images of children, including five photos and two videos, between 4 January and 27 March.
The 41-year-old, of Whitley Road, Aldbourne, was convicted of the same offence – involving 690 images across all three categories of severity – back in 2016.
In relation to the new offending, all of the material was classified as Category A – the most serious. It was discovered on a Motorola mobile phone.
At Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 30 October, he was jailed for 12 months.

The sentencing bench said that the crime was “serious that only a custodial sentence could be justified”, taking into account his previous conviction.
Ritchie was also made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for ten years, with strict conditions including monitoring of internet use, bans on contact with children, and restrictions on online activity and device usage.
Alongside that, he must also sign the sex offenders register for ten years.
