Despite BBC Watchdog featuring Juice Plus recently, and the firm confirming that their products do not cure any ailments, Wiltshire distributors continue to promote false claims.

Wiltshire 999s contacted Chloe Miller, a ‘senior direct distributor’ for Juice Plus, with a Facebook message asking why she was claiming that the company’s capsules can cure acne, and similar skin conditions.

The Juice Plus distributor, who lives in Corsham, publicly posts that the company’s ‘berry capsules’ can give the customer clear skin, with no mention of a ‘could’.

Just before she blocked our reporter on Facebook, he received a voice message saying: “I’m a bit confused as to what you think I’ve done wrong. I don’t really give you permission anyway to share my posts in the article at all.

“I don’t see where you’ve seen in my posts where I’ve stated our products cure this cure that. I’ve just looked back on the skin post I think you mentioned from earlier today, not once did I put any words saying cure.”

A number of customers have been in touch with Wiltshire 999s about Juice Plus, and many have evidence of distributors or representatives claiming that the products do many of the things, like weight loss, that Juice Plus themselves say they do not.

Another Juice Plus representative, Amber Taylor who also lives in Wiltshire, tries to dismiss claims that the BBC Watchdog coverage was talking about the products after telling the potential customer that Juice Plus will help with weight loss and skin conditions.

However, posting on Facebook post about Juice Plus, Boo Janga Bonner wrote: “[To be fair] it cleared my friends psoriasis completely.”

Another, Paige Brooks wrote: “I was once told it could cure bi-polar!”

According to BBC Watchdog, a spokesperson for Juice Plus told them: “[Juice Plus] does not claim that its capsules have any benefits related to weight loss and it markets its products as support for healthy living rather than to cure any specific aliments.

“It adds that independent brand advocates occasionally stray off-message and it has a department that takes swift decisive action when it discovers this or it is brought to Juice Plus’ attention.
