Firefighters from across Wiltshire were called to tackle flames at three homes on Christmas Eve.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service sent crews to three incidents, including two chimney fires and an aga fire, yesterday evening (24 December).
Two fire engines from Chippenham attended a chimney fire at a property on Malmesbury Road at around 6.10pm.
The fire was out on arrival and the crew checked the flue and gave advice to the occupants.
At 6.40pm, a fire crew from Marlborough were called to a chimney fire in West Overton.
Firefighters used a chimney kit to extinguish the fire and a thermal imaging camera to check the roof space to ensure it was safe.
Shortly before 10pm, Devizes and Pewsey crews were called to an electrical aga on fire in the kitchen of a property in Patney Road, Chirton.
It was apparently out on arrival but firefighters stripped back part of the wall and used a thermal imaging camera to ensure it was completely safe.
Earlier in the day, Trowbridge firefighters were sent to free a child locked in a car in Westbury Road, North Bradley. They were able to gain entry to the vehicle using small gear.
