An ambulance worker in Wiltshire has been arrested for stalking and other offences – and has been suspended from his duties.
43-year-old man, who is based at Salisbury Ambulance Station and is understood to work on emergency ambulances, is under investigation for serious offences.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that the suspect, from Fordingbridge in Hampshire, was arrested “on suspicion of engaging in controlling / coercive behaviour, stalking and making threats to kill”.
A spokesperson added: “He has been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.”
South Western Ambulance Service said the investigation is not work related. It’s believed the alleged offending is domestic in nature.
A spokesperson said: “A member of staff from Salisbury Ambulance Station has been suspended, following their arrest in relation to a non-work matter.
“Due to an ongoing police investigation, it would be inappropriate for us to comment any further.”
