A man was hit by a train at a station in Somerset on Sunday morning (20 August).
Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance were called to the serious incident in Castle Cary at around 11.30am.
At the scene, medics treated a man for significant injuries – believed to be life-changing.
The station was evacuated and lines closed whilst emergency services dealt with the the casualty.
The British Transport Police said that the incident is “not being treated as suspicious.”
