A country road on the Wiltshire border has been closed following a serious crash.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance landed near the scene between Luckington and Acton Turville in South Gloucestershire at around 11.30am this morning.
All three emergency services were in attendance at the road traffic collision, involving a car and motorcycle, in Luckington Road.
The motorcyclist was taken to the Regional Major Trauma Centre at Bristol’s Southmead Hospital with life-changing injuries.
The road remained closed at the time of publishing – more than four hours on from the initial emergency services response.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We were called to a car v motorbike RTC at approx 11.30am today (05/04).
“The male motorcyclist was taken by air ambulance to Southmead Hospital with life changing injuries.
“The driver and passengers of the car were uninjured although shaken.
“The road remains closed for now.”
