‘A number of people’ were injured in the serious incident, but exact numbers and the nature of their injuries are currently unknown.

A police spokesperson said: “Shortly after 9pm on Sunday we received a report of an incident at Kingsditch Trading Estate, Cheltenham, where a car had lost control and collided with a parked vehicle and a number of pedestrians.

“Some of the pedestrians were injured and attended hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

“A 28-year-old man from Worcestershire has been reported for dangerous driving.”

Wiltshire Air Ambulance was not required on scene, and was stood down.
