A Swindon man who failed to attend court this morning charged with a number of offences has had a warrant issued for his arrest.
22-year-old Timothy Ryan was due to appear before Swindon magistrates charged with assaulting an emergency worker, theft, a racially aggravated public order offence, failing to surrender and failing to comply with a community order.
His solicitor told the court he is “living in a tent somewhere and probably has no idea it’s Thursday”.
Crown prosecutor Keith Ballinger asked for a warrant to be issued for his arrest.
A warrant not backed for bail was issued by magistrates.
