A man’s died in a collision on the A36 north of Chapmanslade this morning.

The collision happened near to Black Dog Woods shortly before 7am.

A silver Vauxhall Omega, a grey Seat Leon and a third unknown vehicle believed to be a lorry were involved in the serious smash.

The driver of the Vauxhall, 52-year-old man from Warminster, died at the scene.

Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

The road was closed for around five hours while a full collision investigation took place; the road then reopened shortly after midday.
