A man wanted for burglary offences has given police the slip after being spotted in Swindon.
Police officers are said to have attempted to arrest the man in the Cheney Manor area, when he made off on foot into the back gardens of houses in Richmond Road.

Around seven police officers, a police dog unit and the NPAS helicopter were involved in the chase at around 1.30pm this afternoon, Sunday 3 December.
Despite the large police search, the offender was not located.
At 2.20pm, the police helicopter was called away to a ‘more serious’ incident.
