A one-man protest is being held outside a Royal Air Force base near Wiltshire.
One person, understood to be a man, is standing outside RAF Fairford – where the U.S. Air Force is stationed – this afternoon (Wednesday).
He is holding a placard which reads “U.S.A. helps baby killers”, and is believed to be related to interventions made in the Israel-Hamas war.
Gloucestershire Constabulary said it was not aware of the protest.
A Ministry of Defence spokesperson said: “The MOD fully respects people’s right to protest within the law and we would do nothing to prevent members of the public exercising their right to peaceful protest.
“However, we also have a duty to protect public property and maintain security at all defence installations to ensure that we meet our operational needs and will use all lawful means to do so, including the right to seek injunctions against any person who persists in damaging or trespassing on MOD property.”
