Police officers in east Wiltshire are hunting for the driver of a Ford Transit van who is thought to have a crash near Devizes this morning, and failed to stop at the scene.

The road traffic collision happened on the A342 near the Charlton Cat restaurant in the village of Rushall at around 11.50am today, Sunday 4 March.

Two of the three Land Rover Defenders involved ended up overturned in the crash.

It’s alleged that the white Ford Transit van driver had run the three vehicles off the road, and then left the scene without stopping. Luckily, no one was seriously injured in the incident.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Police are looking to identify a white ford Transit van that was travelling from Rushall towards Devizes which may have been involved.

“The time of the collision was 1150 hours on Sunday 4th March [20]18. If anyone has any information about this please contact PC 2880 T SPENCER at Devizes police station via 101.”
