A Trowbridge woman has been sentenced for exposing her bum and assaulting the same police officer twice in two days.

Nequilla Futcher, who also uses the first name Kiki, previously admitted a string of offences when she appeared at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court.

The 26-year-old pleaded guilty to assault by beating of PC Martin on two occasions – on 18 and 19 February this year.

One assault relates to spitting at the female officer, with spittle landing on her tactical vest. The other relates to a small scratch to the officer’s wrist, which was sustained during arrest.

She also accepted charges of outraging public decency by exposing her buttocks and being drunk and disorderly in Stallard Street, Trowbridge, on 18 February.

On the same date she was found to be in possession of cannabis. On 19 February she vomited in a cell at Melksham custody, which required professional cleaning to the value of £270.

At Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on 11 August, Futcher was sentenced to a 12-month community order – with the requirement to complete alcohol and mental health treatment.

The defendant, of Avenue Road, Trowbridge, must pay £100 compensation to PC Martin and £50 to Wiltshire Police towards to cost of cleaning the custody cell.

In a private conference room at the court, Futcher took a smiley selfie with her solicitor Raymond Tan – before posting it publicly on Facebook.

Speaking to Wiltshire 999s following the hearing, she said: “The last few months have been a real wake-up call for me.

“I made some poor choices earlier this year that I’m not proud of, and I’ve taken responsibility for them in court.

I’m now focusing on getting the help I need, including getting support for my mental health and tackling my relationship with alcohol, so I can make better decisions in the future.

I want to thank the people who’ve stood by me while I work on myself. The courts have provided me the support that I need, I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome.

“I’m determined to turn this into a positive turning point and move forward and get my life back on track”
