Trowbridge Town Park has been partially cordoned off as crime scene today, following a knife attack on a man at an address in the town late last night.
Police officers were called to an home in Rosefield Court at 11.30pm on Sunday night, to a report that a man had been injured in an earlier assault.

He was taken to Royal United Hospital in Bath with a slash-style wound to his shoulder. His injuries are not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening.
There are crime scenes in place in Trowbridge Town Park and Roundstone Street.
A 32-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and is currently in police custody.

Det Insp Nick Mawson, from Melksham CID, said: “We are still in the early stages of the investigation and we need to try to speak to the victim to find out more about what happened to him.
“I know incidents like this are worrying for the local community, but I want to reassure everyone that we do not believe there is any risk to the wider public.
“Our initial enquiries suggest this was a targeted assault and we are now working hard to find out who is responsible.”
Residents reported hearing the police helicopter overhead at around midnight, but it’s not yet clear if this is linked to the crime scenes in place today.
