The family of a teenager who was found dead at her home in Trowbridge two weeks ago are asking for help from the local community.

The ambulance service, along with Wiltshire Police, were called to an address in the town following reports of an unresponsive 19-year-old at 1.45am on 28 August.

Casey-Jane Taylor was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. It’s understood her death is not being treated as suspicious but investigations into the cause of death are ongoing.

She was born with fetal anticonvulsant syndrome and was autistic.

Her sister, Alicia, told Wiltshire 999s that Casey-Jane was a ‘colourful and fun-loving’ person with ‘her whole life ahead of her’.

She said: ‘She didn’t have a huge amount of friends but those she had she loved and they loved her.

‘Casey was always dying her hair different colours and was amazing at art. She had a big heart and would always greet friends with a big hug.’

Her family say they cannot afford the “beautiful farewell” she deserves and have launched a fundraiser to try and raise the funds needed. Find out more or donate on Go Fund Me here.
