Traffic delays as A3102 closed after ‘driver ploughs into telegraph pole’

There a traffic delays following a road traffic collision on the A3102 near Calne.

Police were called to the scene in the Hilmarton area at around 4pm this afternoon (Monday).

It’s understood a driver ploughed their car into a telegraph pole, but further details are not yet known.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Please be aware that the A3102 near Hilmarton is currently closed in both directions after a single vehicle collision.

“There are not thought to be any injuries but the road is currently blocked while recovery is underway. Please find alternate routes.”

The road is expected to remain closed for some time.
