A man, woman and a teenager were arrested in suspicion of assault following an attack on a 15-year-old girl in Swindon yesterday evening.
Police responded to reports of an altercation in Whitbourne Avenue, Park South, at around 6.30pm.
At the scene, officers arrested three people – a 15-year-old girl, a woman in her 40s and a man in his 50s on suspicion of affray and assault. They were taken to Gablecross custody.
Those arrested are said to have been from the same family – a child, mother and father.
A video of the incident posted on social media appears to show a teenage girl brandishing a pole. It’s alleged she used the weapon to assault the 15-year-old victim a number of times.
The man arrested in connection with the incident has since been released with no further action whist the two females have been released under investigation.
