Three air ambulances landed for a serious crash on the Wiltshire-Dorset border today.

Emergency services were called to the incident at just after midday, after a green Vauxhall Astra collided with a wall outside Milton Farm caravan site in Milton on Stour near Gillingham.

Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, Great Western Air Ambulance and Wiltshire Air Ambulance all attended the scene where four people were seriously hurt.

THE THREE AIR AMBULANCES AT THE SCENE

The driver, an 18-year-old man from Mere, was airlifted to Southampton Hospital and a rear seat female passenger, 21, from Warminster, was taken by air ambulance to hospital in Bristol.

The two other occupants of the vehicle, a 16-year-old girl and 20-year-old man, were taken to hospital by land ambulance with serious injuries.

Sergeant Mark Scammell, of the traffic unit, said: “The next of kin of those involved have been informed and we are investigating the circumstances of this collision.

“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or the manner of driving of the vehicle prior to it, to contact us.

“I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the relevant time and who has dashcam fitted to their vehicle to please check their footage.”
