Ten suspected illegal immigrants arrested on industrial estate in Swindon

They were discovered in a lorry trailer this morning

Ten suspected illegal immigrants have been arrested on Europa Industrial Estate this morning.

Police in Swindon received a call at around 6.30am this morning, and raced to the scene.

Ten suspects, found in a lorry trailer, were arrested on suspicion of illegal entry into the UK.

A police spokesperson commented: “We were called to Europa Industrial Estate at 6.35am this morning following a report of possible illegal immigrants on board a lorry.

“Officers attended and 10 males and females were arrested on suspicion of illegal entry into the UK.

“They remain in custody at this time.”
