A teenager says she was left shaken after being approached by a driver in Malmesbury.
The 19-year-old reported the suspicious incident – which happened in Park Road and Old Alexander Road at around 6pm on Thursday (13 March) – to Wiltshire Police.
It’s claimed a man driving a black Mercedes asked for her age, where she lives and was driving around her street.
In a post on social media, she warned local women to “be careful walking around Malmesbury”.
The man was described as being aged in his 20s or 30s, with brown hair and a black puffer jacket.
After residents raised concerns it could be linked to a spate of similar incidents in Chippenham, the woman contacted the police to raise her concerns.
It also follows incidents involving children walking home from Royal Wootton Bassett Academy in recent days – with claims they were followed by a man in a van.
Wiltshire Police has been approached for comment.
