A teenage girl has died following a serious medical emergency in Corsham town centre.
Emergency services were initially called to concerns for the welfare of a female within an address at around 3pm on Monday (9 January).
Two ambulances, several ambulance response vehicles and at least seven police vehicles were in attendance.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance was also at the incident by helicopter – which landed in Corsham Court – and a rapid response car.
Despite the best efforts of medics, the teenage girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and our thoughts are with her family at this time”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said.
The road was partially blocked for more than an hour. At 5pm, two police cars remained parked at the roadside, but no officers were present.
