A teenage boy has been arrested after ‘threatening fellow school pupils with a gun’.
Police were reportedly called to Devizes School in The Green yesterday (Thursday 3 November).
It followed a report that the boy threatened to kill at least one pupil with what was believed to be a pistol.
It’s said that the threats were made in messages – which showed the suspect holding the weapon – rather than in person at the school.
It’s understood a number of pupils were sent home following the incident due to concerns for their welfare.
Wiltshire Police confirmed a 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill, possession of an imitation firearm and malicious communications.
He has since been released on bail as officers investigate the alleged crimes.
