A teenage boy has been stabbed during an electric bike robbery in Swindon.
Police called to a serious assault in Eastbury Way, Redhouse, by the ambulance service at around 5.50pm on yesterday (Saturday, 4 January).
The 17-year-old victim sustained knife wounds and was taken to hospital. His injuries injuries aren’t said to be significant, and he is likely to recover fully.
A short time after the attack, officers arrested three boys – aged 15 – on suspicion of robbery. They have since been bailed while enquiries continue.
A scene was put in place at the location, but was lifted by around 9pm.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Walker said: “This was a serious incident in which a teenager has suffered knife wounds and had his bike stolen.
“Following swift enquiries, we were able to detain and arrest three teenagers in connection with the incident and recover the bike.
“This incident has taken place in public yesterday evening, at the junction between Eastbury Way and Addinsell Road, and we would ask anyone who witnessed it or has any information to get in touch with us.
