A suspect is in custody after a man was seriously hurt in a stabbing in Swindon.
Emergency services were called to Atworth Close in Penhill at around 5.30pm this afternoon (Wednesday) following reports of a disorder.
A 39-year-old man sustained serious injuries, with Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance tasked to the scene alongside local ambulance crews.

He was treated outside the North Swindon Family Centre, before conveyed to hospital by land ambulance for further treatment.
A 36-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and remains in custody for quesitioning.
Chief Inspector Carly Nesbitt said: “We would like to hear from anyone who was near the North Swindon Family Centre in Atworth Close Swindon at about 5.30pm this evening who may have witnessed what took place.
“We recognise the concern that this incident will have had for those living nearby.
“Members of the public will notice extra police presence in the area over the coming days, if you have any concerns or information, please approach our officers.
“We are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with this incident and there is not thought to be any ongoing threat.”
