A Swindon primary school is taking precautions after receiving news of a serious gas leak just half a mile away, on Blagrove Industrial Estate.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service are currently at the scene of the incident on Frankland Road, not far from Junction 16 of the M4.
Residents living in the Freshbrook, Toothill and Grange Park area of Swindon are urged to keep their windows and doors closed as a precaution.
Millbrook Primary School say that they are ‘taking precautions’.
Those with “existing respiratory problems” are most at risk.
Gas engineers are on scene, and Great Western Way between Mannington Roundabout and Blagrove Roundabout is closed while they deal with the leak.
