Paramedics were forced to alert police to a man’s mental health episode in Swindon.
Officers were called to help an ambulance crew following the incident in Dixon Street, in the town centre, at around 10am on Friday (1 August).
A dog unit was deployed alongside local police, who attended to speak to the distressed man.
The man could be seen sitting on the floor as two officers engaged in conversation with him.
He was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment. No arrests were made.
Dixon Street was blocked for a short time while emergency services dealt with the incident.
