Two community support officers have ‘ditched their bikes for umbrellas’ during Storm Henk.
Swindon’s famous PCSO duo, Lee Hare and Kate Jackson, spend lots of time out and about patrolling their patch on police-issue bicycles.
Today (Tuesday), due to strong winds and heavy rain, they’re not using two wheels.
In a photograph shared on Facebook – believed to be fake – Lee and Kate appear to be holding umbrellas after being blown into the sky above Thamesdown Drive.
A statement said: “Lee and Kate have ditched the bikes today due to storm Henk.
“What do you think of the new form of transport for today. Great views. Mary will be jealous!
“As the storm passes through please remember to stay safe and be mindful of flying debris and fallen trees. If you see a fallen tree or other obstructions please call us on 101 or 999.”
