Two men who supplied crack cocaine and heroin in the Penhill area of Swindon have been jailed.

Mattie Lyon, 26, formerly of Ramsbury Avenue, was sentenced to three years imprisonment for possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.

Correy-Jay Adams, 20, formerly of Erlestoke Way, was sentenced to five years and three months imprisonment for being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.

The pair were sentenced following an investigation into the supply of class A drugs in Penhill between October 2021 and January 2022 which resulted in multiple warrants being executed and arrests on January 17, 2022.

Det Sgt Joe Shanklin said: “This was a collaborative investigation between Wiltshire Police’s Fortitude team and the Metropolitan Police’s Orochi teams, focusing on tackling class A drug dealing and was supported by funding obtained from the South West Regional Organised Crime Unit.

“Both Lyon and Adams have been supplying class A drugs within our local community for some time and this was evident through the evidence obtained during the warrants.

“Their level of dealing had potential to cause serious harm within our communities and I am pleased that we have been able to disrupt this and protect some of the most vulnerable local drug users.

“I’m pleased custodial sentences have been handed out – the Fortitude team works extremely hard to target serious and repeat offenders in our community and I hope this latest court result reassures the local community that we will deal robustly with those involved in drug supply in our county.”
