A Swindon man holidaying in Thailand has been found dead in a storm drain.
37-year-old Frazer Wright’s body was recovered from an open sewer on Wednesday morning (20 November), according to The Independent.
The man reportedly went out drinking alone on the island of Phuket on Tuesday night (19 November), and sparked a search when he didn’t return to his hotel.
Local media is reporting that Mr Wright was captured on CCTV looking into the storm drain before climbing over a barrier and falling into it.
“We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Thailand and are in contact with the local authorities”, a spokesperson for the UK Foreign Office said.
