A man has been charged with making a knife threat and carrying out an arson attack.
Craig Day appeared at Swindon Crown Court on 11 December for a bail application, days after he was remanded in custody for three offences he’s alleged to have committed last month.
The 35-year-old, of Briarswood Court, Liden, has been charged with threatening Daniel Durkin with a knife at an address in Caufield Road, Gorse Hill, on 24 November.
On the same date, he’s accused of arson with intent to engager life by setting fire to a carpet inside the building – which is owned by Theshold Housing.
He’s also charged with criminal damage to the same carpet, and to bannister spindles.
Judge Jason Taylor refused Day bail, remanding him in custody until 10 January for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
