A 36-year-old man has been charged with sexually assaulting a young child.
Aaron Douglas Andrews is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court this morning (14 April).
The defendant, of Crudwell Way, Penhill, is accused of intentionally touching the youngster sexually.
He was remanded in custody following the charge, ahead of his first court appearance today.
Magistrates will decide if the case needs to be sent to the crown court and whether the defendant is bailed or remanded in custody until his next hearing.
The victim in this case has the lifelong right to anonymity. It is an imprisonable criminal offence to share any piece of information that could lead to the identification of the victim.
