UPDATE: At Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 2 March, Jaspal Bhui was found not guilty of the offence. The case was dismissed and the defendant acquitted.
The manager of a Swindon garage is accused of sexually assaulting a woman at work.
63-year-old Jaspal Bhui appeared before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (4 November).
He entered a not guilty plea, with defence solicitor Luke Jameson stating his client “wholly denies” the sexual assault – which is said to have happened in the workplace.
District Judge Joanna Dickens agreed the case was suitable to remain in the magistrates court.
Bhui, of Lomond Close, Swindon, will return for trial on 30 June 2026.
He was released on bail, with the condition not to contact the complainant in the case.
Alleged victims of sexual crimes have the right to lifelong anonymity. It is an imprisonable criminal offence to share any piece of information that could lead to their identification.
