A Swindon dance teacher has been charged with controlling and raping a woman.
42-year-old Richard Whyburd, who also goes by the name ZBoogz, appeared at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (17 December).
The defendant, of Milton Road, Swindon, faces four allegations relating to a single victim.
He’s charged with three counts of anal rape and one count of engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour.
It’s alleged Whyburd encouraged and coerced a woman into taking drugs and forced, encouraged or manipulated her to engage in sexual acts involving role play including mock rape, acting like a child and playing dead.
He was released on bail with a condition not to contact the complainant.
The case was sent to Swindon Crown Court – with a plea and trial preparation hearing scheduled for 16 January.
